Xun Michael Chi is an Associate Professor at Laguna College of Art + Design, a photographer, and curator. He teaches various of courses including Graphic Design - Conceptual Thinking, Composition and Color, 3D animation and Advanced Photography.  

As a photographer, his work has been featured in magazines worldwide including Juxtapoz, Harper’s Bazaar China, Elle UK, Vogue Australia, etc. In 2016, he held a solo photography exhibition in Contemporary Art Museum of Ningbo, China. As a curator, Chi has curated “American Contemporary Portrait Photography Exhibition” in 2016; co-curated “Words in Characters, Books as Vehicle” exhibition in Stanford University in 2017; curated “President Nixon’s Legacy in Three Chinese Cities” photo exhibition at Nixon Presidential Library in 2018; Chi won the Excellent Curator Award in Pingyao International Photography Exhibition in 2016.

Chi has been invited as a guest speaker in some top universities and organizations including Beijing University, China Central Academy of Fine Arts, CAA, AIGA etc.
